Getting started and vault

Getting started with CH-J Server Manager: vault setup, first launch and available features.

Current branch0.0.1 · Alpha

About the project

CH-J Server Manager brings SSH server management, profiles, a terminal, SFTP files, and extension tools together in one desktop application.

Small Core, separate tools

Sensitive operations remain in Core. Features such as monitoring and file management run as isolated sandboxed plugins with narrowly scoped permissions.

First launch on every system

First choose a language, read the operational guidance and accept the license. Then create the vault. Acceptance is required again for every new build. A lost master password cannot be recovered; resetting the vault deletes encrypted profiles and saved credentials.

Create a master password for the encrypted vault, add a server profile, and carefully compare the displayed host-key fingerprint with the server on the first SSH connection.
