SSH & SFTP

  1. After unlocking the vault, open Servers and add the host, port, user and password or private SSH key. Select the private key, not the .pub file.
  2. On the first connection, compare the host key SHA-256 fingerprint through an independent trusted channel. Confirm a changed known key only after verifying it with the server administrator.
  3. Open Terminal and connect the profile. Multiple SSH sessions are supported; locking the vault disconnects them.
  4. Use File Manager for SFTP browsing, transfers and editing. The integrated editor supports save conflict detection and recovery; permissions are still determined by the authenticated SSH user.

Before overwriting or deleting files, verify the server, path and availability of a usable backup. The application does not guarantee that backups exist or can be restored.
